Potential: from Dictionary.com, “Capable of being but not yet in existence.” It’s one of my favorite words.
It’s why I have a room full, and a storage room full, of supplies (aka stuff).
It’s why I still continue to buy, gather, thrift and acquire more stuff (aka supplies).
It’s why I continue to ogle, fondle and buy fabric, even though I don’t quilt and rarely get around to sewing.
It’s why I love acorns and babies, rosebuds and cocoons.
It’s what keeps me going when I’m blue – the day *always* has potential to improve.
It’s what makes me smile every time I walk into a library or book store.
It’s the reason I hit that New Post button each time: friends, connections and relationships can result!
It’s what fills me with elation when I think about working in my studio, and dread at the same time – sometimes there’s too much potential in one room.
It’s what kept me going when I wasn’t sure the love would last.
It’s what I see in a child’s delighted smile when they see a brand new box of crayons.
It’s the basis of, and absolutely necessary for, my creativity.
I’m sure you’re full of it. And guess what – I’m full of it too. = )
