There’s nothing like that perfect strawberry, perfectly shaped with that bright, rosy red color, green cap, and a bit of stem… and it tastes good too! I LOVE strawberry season!
This time of year, when the farmers markets are back in swing, I have a hard time not throwing all my dough at piles of berries and flowers, mushrooms and produce I’ll never get eaten in a week. Because you know I want to go back the next Saturday and buy more.
This time of year I could practically live on berries with yogurt and granola, especially when the blueberries and raspberries ramp up too (I’ve been know to add blackberries, fresh currents and apricots to the mix too if they’re around), but alas – woman cannot live on berries alone. Much as she would like to.
