And all I got was a few pictures, but that’s okay. Over the course of Christmas Eve at one grandma’s house, and Christmas Day at the other Forrest played with new toys, tried to eat any paper he could get his hands on (and this kid has LONG arms like his mommy), took several long, exhausted-from-all-the-revelry naps, and was totally content to hang with anyone who wanted to hold him.
(No, we didn’t really let him chew on the paper!) Yesterday we adults had our traditional lasagna and garlic bread Christmas dinner, with a nice salad of baby greens of course…
He smiled at all the funny faces coming his way and at his three crazy cousins (ages 3, 4, and 6) who just couldn’t sit still for opening presents – next year there will be 4 of these little buggers running around and the chaos level will be amazing!
At the end of the 4-day weekend Forrest wasn’t the only one exhausted by the wonderful time with family and friends – he fought Christmas, and Christmas won.
I hope you all had a fabulous holiday full of love, cheer, joy, peace… and presents, too! Here’s to a Happy New Year to come.
