Ah, procrastination. I’ve talked about you before and I’m still lured in by your charm. But I don’t have time for you anymore. Really, no time to waste time on procrastinating.
But it was nice to have an extra week to rethink my first idea and get to this one, which I love. Kym, this is your postcard, no peeking!!

The theme was celebrate. I did a quick word association around Celebrate and kept coming back to a big, colorful cluster of balloons in the sky. They’re so cheerful and happy. So I used one of my photographs as a background then pulled a bunch of happy papers out of my scrap pile to make this:
Happy! I’m fond of strings and bits that go off the edge too so I had to leave the balloon strings long. Here’s a closeup:
I would definitely do things in a different order this time (punch holes and string my little balloons BEFORE sticking them all down, for one!) but I’m very happy with the result. It’s cheerful, colorful, and suits my need for fussy bits of paper layered together. Makes me want to pull some more photographs and try something similar (bees on a flower, anyone?).
