Last Wednesday Matt had baby duty so I arrived home without baby in tow. My list of to-dos was pretty big (trying to fit it all in before they got home, HA!) but the lighting was beautiful so I grabbed my trusty Sony Cyber-shot for a quick 5-minute photo shoot around our yard.
I took 13 photos that evening, moving fast as I stopped here and there for a quick snap, crouching for a macro, trying to see the screen of the camera with the sun in my eyes. Some are blurry, some are boring but there’s almost always one that’s just right – that tiny treasure of a picture that makes me smile and keep on clicking.
In focus, but boring!
Clear again, but meh!
Wrong focus – couldn’t see the screen for the sun.
Good one – nice color and clarity.
Ah, there we go, juuuust right.
This last one I took that evening is my Tiny Treasure. I love the way the sun shines through the petals, the blur of the background, the way the whiskers on the stem capture the light, the spider web stretching petal to petal… a tiny 3-inch-tall wild-strawberry blossom becomes a thing of beauty when everything falls into place.
Happy Tiny Treasure hunting, friends!
(p.s. this is NOT a post sponsored by Sony, though I would be happy to test out any products they sent my way… ; )
